Thank you for considering me as your senior photographer! You have lots of options and I'm so honored! My name is Kari, and that's me with my family pictured above.

I've been a photographer for 25 years and counting. I love what I do and I've been told I'm pretty good at it! If you look through my style, you'll see that I like a clean, modern look that won't look dated in 10 years, but still relaxed, creative and unique so you stand out from everyone else. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the details (lighting, posing, backgrounds etc) so you know with me you will be getting a great set of quality images. Your senior portraits are kind of a big deal!

Until your wedding day (actually not even then because wedding days are so busy they fly by, and aren’t just about you), you probably won't have an experience like this ever again, so make sure it's done right!

Senior portraits are like a "coming of age" photo shoot. You'll probably never have photographs taken of you that are ALL about you ever again, so now's the time to document this once in a lifetime opportunity, and have a great time doing it!

My goal is to create a portrait that shows your best side, as well as represents you for who you are. By combining a fabulous location, beautiful lighting, my eye for flattering positions/angles, and your good looks and personality, I promise to provide you with a variety of portraits that you and your family will absolutely love!

In fact I guarantee that you will. If you don't love your photos, we reshoot or refund. I've very rarely had to do this because everyone has loved their photos, but the guarantee is there so you can feel secure in your decision.

When creating a portrait, I like to keep it simple and focus on you, keeping props and busy backdrops to a minimum. However, if you have something important to you that you'd like to incorporate into your pictures, please bring them! They may give your portraits just the right touch and show off your personality and interests. I'm open to your ideas and suggestions so lay it on me.

I typically only schedule one session per day, and 2 sessions per week. This gives me the time and patience to focus on you and only you, not on the clock or the next appointment. There will be plenty of time for clothing changes, hair fixes, etc. Senior sessions generally last 1-3 hours, often longer for multiple locations. This also means my calendar fills up quickly, so reserve your session months in advance to make sure you get a spot!

Portraits may be created in my studio in Cottage Grove, MN (just east of St Paul, near Woobury, Hastings and Inver Grove Heights) or any one of several great locations in the Twin Cities metro area. Each session is custom created for you and we'll choose a location that works perfectly with your vision (if you don't have a vision, don't worry, we'll come up with one!).

When you schedule your appointment, either by phone, online or by email, we'll discuss your ideas and decide on a location.

Because I only schedule a limited number of sessions, 50% of your session is due at the time of scheduling your senior portrait session. with the balance due on or before the day of your session. See the pricing tab for more details.

Please let me know if you have questions. You can reach me by email at info@kariphotography.com or by text at 651-271-7627.

With your permission, you'll be featured on my Instagram and Facebook Page a few days after your session. After 1-2 weeks, your images will be ready for the big reveal! We'll set up a time for you to stop by the studio while we watch a slideshow of your session. Then we'll go through them and narrow them down to your favorites, and you will then decide on your final portrait order. No pressure here, I'm there to help and make suggestions/design ideas, and will never pressure you to buy more than you really want.

Portrait orders are ready in 2-4 weeks from the time your order is placed and paid in full. When your prints are ready, you will receive an email or a phone call letting you know that your prints are ready and to arrange a time for pickup. You can also have your portraits mailed to you. If you have further questions about the process please email me at info@kariphotography.com, or call 651-271-7627.

I look forward to working with you!
